Mamta Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal has Launched the Krishak Bandhu scheme, which will be entitled to all the farmers of the state of West Bengal to take the advantage of the WB Krishak Bandhu yojana. West Bengal (KBS) Krishak Bandhu Scheme Objective

By the Krishak Bandhu Scheme farmer will be provided with financial assistance. Under the system, along with the financial support, the beneficiaries would also be granted a life insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh.

By the West Bengal KBS, the government will provide Financial Incentive, the farmer and their families will become self-dependent, the farmer would not have to rely on others(Mediator,sahukar)

The initiative is intended to benefit distressed farmers and workers, whom the failure of crop that has regularly denied adequate harvesting.
The scheme would equip all ranchers with an Rs. 10,000 monetary guide on an annual premise, payable in two parts.
During the plantation of the Kharif crop and rabi season, the amount will be credited back to famers account
This initiative urges both trainers and agrarian specialists to adopt a defense strategy.

Krishak Bandhu yojana Benefits

The Krishak Bandhu Scheme,advantages are as follow:-

Each beneficiary is provided under the scheme with a life insurance of 200000 rupees.
The farmers who accidentally die when implementing the scheme will receive insurance cover.
Beneficiaries will recieve ₹5000 insurance in two installments
For implementation of this scheme, about ₹3000 crores budget is pass for KBS scheme
Insurance protection is given within 15 days of the victim’s death.
The Crop Insurance premium is also awarded to all beneficiaries under the scheme by the State Government.
The recipients shall also be provided with 5,000 rupees per acre in two installments in Kharif and Rabi.

Krishak Bandhu Scheme Key Features

The main focus/key features of the Krishak Bandhu scheme are as follow:-

Assured income – all farmers and beneficiaries that will be chosen under the scheme shall receive financial support under the assured revenue. The scheme contains two additional options: –
- For both Rabi & Kharif seasons, farmers with one or more acres of land may obtain Rs. 5000 Per annum

First installment	JUNE
Second installment	NOVEMBER

In addition, farmers will get a pro-rata minimum aid of Rs. 2000 a year.
Death benefit – The farmers’ families will receive Rs 2 lakh, including suicide, according to the death benefit plan. New insurance benefits are available to all farmers between 18 and 60 years of age.
